Good battery, cool-looking, but heavy bike, December 26, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Compact Foldable Throttle Electric Bicycle / 36v 10ah Li-Ion High Capacity Battery (Misc.) After extensive research on various electric bikes (that meet the criteria for no insurance in my sate of Ohio), I settled on this one mainly because it comes with a lithium battery (vs lead acid). I liked the fact that it is a popular 36 V 10 amp battery in China and I thought I would be able to get replacement batteries easily (offered online). But the battery mounts to the bike in a special groove and I doubt that I would be able to find a battery that will fit into this bike easily when the battery dies eventually. For now, the battery charges well and it powers the bike quite well. It charges fast and seems to last adequately. The bike looks cool (for guys) and cute (for girls) and it's a head-turner. But the quality of the bike is a different story. Not marked anywhere, but I was able to figure out this was manufactured in China just like most other items we buy these days. The battery does not work properly., January 28, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Compact Foldable Throttle Electric Bicycle / 36v 10ah Li-Ion High Capacity Battery (Misc.) I bought this elctric bike in December 2011 and just tried to use it now. The electric function is not working. It seems like the battery can only work 3 to 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, there is no more elctric and have to do manual paddling. Need to repair!
